Choose the workspace that matches your job
Role selection changes the onboarding questions and destination; it does not replace a team or meet invitation.
Quick steps
- 1Choose Coach when you manage a roster, practice, meet, or team settings.
- 2Choose Diver when you need your own dive lists, assignments, results, and video history.
- 3Choose Judge when you regularly score meets or maintain a judge profile.
- 4Choose Spectator when you follow live meets, standings, or specific divers.
- 5Use a private guardian, away-team, submission, or judge link when the meet director sends one; those links may not require a full dashboard account.
Coach
Coaches create and edit teams, add divers, schedule practices, create meets, collect dive lists, assign judges, run competitions, correct live data, and publish results. A coach may also act as the meet director.
Diver or athlete
The Diver role focuses on the athlete’s own schedule, assigned practices, dive lists, results, progress, and media. A coach can still send a direct dive-list link when the athlete does not need a complete dashboard account.
Judge
Judges can maintain a RipScore identity, but the normal meet-day path is a tokenized judge link or QR code from the meet director. Open the link on the scoring device, verify the assigned seat, and submit only the score for the diver shown.
Parent, guardian, or spectator
Parents normally choose Spectator to follow public meet pages and standings. A guardian invitation can provide a private athlete-specific view. Treat guardian and share links as private even when no password is required.
Changing roles later
Your selected role can be changed from account settings when your responsibilities change. Role changes do not automatically grant access to a team or meet; an administrator, coach, or tokenized invitation still controls the underlying access.
Jack summary
Choose Coach to manage a team and competitions, Diver for personal lists and results, Judge for scoring access, or Spectator for following meets and divers. Parents normally use Spectator or a private guardian link rather than a separate Parent role.
